JOIN A TOUR that starts in Portsmouth, NH (near I-95) for lunch and then travels scenic routes, staying overnight Friday in Brunswick, Maine. On Saturday, we travel to the east side of Penobscot Bay through Castine, Deer Isle, and Brooklin. After staying Saturday night in Ellsworth, we will tour Mount Desert Island and Acadia National Park, and visit the Seal Cove Auto Museum. This is a joint event with Fiat Club of Green & White Mountains.
Here are the details!
Friday June 6
We will meet for lunch at Gibb’s Garage in Lafayette Rd, US 1 in Portsmouth, NH (see the Map & Directions button above) – this auto-themed restaurant opens for lunch at 11:30am.
We depart promptly from Gibb’s Garage at 1pm heading north through Portsmouth.
We will travel a scenic coastal route crossing into Maine on the Memorial Bridge to Kittery and travel up the coast to York Harbor and York Beach with a stop at Nubble Light. We join US 1 again in the middle of Ogunquit. At Wells we leave the coast on ME 109 and will follow a series of back country roads to work around Portland. We eventually cross US 1 to travel a coastal route to end in Brunswick.

Saturday June 7
There will be two options for Saturday morning:
Option 1 – We will meet at Merrymeeting Plaza at 9, departing at 9:30 for a guided, scenic drive ending at our lunch location, The Taste of Maine in Woolwich
Option 2 – The Mid Maine Sports Car Club (MMSSC) is having their annual Gimmick Rally and have agreed to include ten of our event participants (who are not MMSSC members) to join them. Our folks will not be eligible to take home any plaques. This will be first come first served. We will provide specifics to folks joining that. This event ends at the Taste of Maine also. Afternoon
We will depart in groups, heading north and east to navigate around Penobscot Bay bypassing the busy coastal towns on US 1. When we reach Orland on the East side of the Bay, we will head down the Blue Hill Peninsula to our dinner spot, just across the Deer Island Bridge – LDI Lobster dock & dine.
After dinner we will drive up through Brooklin and Blue Hill to our overnight destination in Ellsworth.

Sunday June 8
After breakfast at the Comfort Inn, we will depart for Mt. Desert Island for a scenic tour ending with a visit to the Seal Cove Auto Museum followed by lunch on-site. This event will wrap up after lunch.
