Map & Directions

PLEASE GAS UP BEFORE coming to the meeting spot and allow yourself adequate time to join us at 9:30AM for the drivers’ meeting in front of the historic Old Stone Church, 130 Beaman Street, West Boylston, MA (see the Map & Directions button above).

  • There are NO porta-potties at the meeting spot. The nearest gas, coffee, and bathrooms are at Cumberland Farms (map), 184 West Boylston St, West Boylston, MA (on Route 12 off I-190 and about 5 minutes from our meeting spot).

We will leave promptly from the meeting spot at 10:00 AM.

Departing West Boylston, we’ll travel an almost entirely new route through many towns we have not previously visited on this tour: We’ll explore the woods and shorelines of the northern Wachusett Reservoir region including the towns of West Boylston, Holden, Princeton and Sterling. Along the way, we’ll zip along various smaller town reservoirs as well. We’ll make a brief pit stop at Sholan Farms Community Apple Orchard for portapotties and to stretch our legs.

Then we’ll return to our exploration of the southern Wachusett Reservoir region, including the New England mill town of Clinton and picturesque, tiny Boylston before returning to West Boylston and completing our nearly 70-mile loop.

After the run, we’ll retire to the landmark Irish (and American) fare O’Connor’s Restaurant, 1160 W Boylston St, Worcester, for a casual lunch.

Please contact Dan Donovan by Wednesday, June 12, at dmdonovan1@yahoo.com or 508-340-3579 if you plan to join us, so we can let our hosts know how many to expect.
