Saturday, May 4th
Forget Punxsutawney Phil and his less-than-reliable shadow. I have tasted the roads and can positively report they are all free of salt.
SO DUST OFF YOUR ALFAS and join us for our second event of the season — the South Shore Beach and Waterfront Tour!
This much-anticipated and always well-attended event will commence from the parking lot of Hingham Habor for a leisurely tour of the beautiful Massachusetts South Shore towns of Hingham, Nantasket, Hull, and Cohasset.
We will make a first stop at the summit of Hull cemetery to take in the truly stunning 350-degree panoramic views of Hingham, Hull, and Boston harbors.
No AONE tour of the South Shore is complete without our traditional second stop at the Minot Beach overlook and the historic Minot lighthouse, lining up our Alfas with the ocean as a fantastic photogenic backdrop.
Our long-served ex-president, Tom Lesko, ran this event for as long as anyone can remember but has handed it to me (Frank Anigbo) for this year’s running. I’ll try not to muck it up too much!
The tour will end at Jake’s Seafood Restaurant in Hull for a leisurely lunch.
Please sign up to join the tour by 5:00 PM Thursday, May 2nd, so I can inform the restaurant (they need to cap the lunch group at 25 people max), by either email or phone: fanigbo@gmail.com or 781-635-7830.

Plan to arrive at 10:00 AM on Saturday, May 4th. Pull into the large parking lot at the "Bathing Beach" on Hingham Harbor, Route 3A (the parking lot entry with the traffic light). I will already be at the meeting point with coffee and baked things to eat, and an AONE flag planted as a sign you have arrived at the right place.
The tour will commence at 10:30 AM after a brief meeting. Maps with key waypoints will be provided in case we get separated.
