Alfa motorheads, this year the popular Glynn Motorsports (GMS) event has a new wrinkle, as we have invited the New England Chapter of the Ferrari Club (of America), to join us. Paul Glynn and Michael Wrigley have worked on numerous Ferraris over the years, in addition to our Alfas. Also, we look forward to seeing some 4Cs and new Giulias. Since this has become an annual major AONE event with a large turnout, adding another club could fill the parking lot. So, as every year, we are encouraging those with sports cars, esp. Italian, to bring them, weather providing. After all, interesting cars are part of the event! Also, RSVP (see below) so the parking situation can be managed as best possible.

So mark your calendar: Saturday, May 13th, 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, rain or shine! Paul, crew of the successful, early Bertone-designed Alfa GTA and GTV Trans-Am racing efforts (by Horst Kwech, Gaston Andrey, and Bert Everett), will host us at his shop in Rowley. Paul has owned Giuliettas, Spider Veloces, Berlinas, Milano Verdes, and other Alfas, and his shop has done regular service work, extensive restorations, and engine rebuilding. He is also a source of used parts for many models. The shop is spacious and often filled with a variety of Alfas; every year something different is going on in terms of rebuilds and restoration. Paul will provide information about the capabilities of high performance Alfa engine rebuilds and transmission rehabs, and Tom Ducibella will be available for upholstery info and convertible top pointers (he owns a '69 Spider and has installed many Alfa tops).

The event takes place in the scenic north shore area in Rowley, MA, in which many uncongested roads still exist and provide Alfa touring satisfaction.

NOTE:  For those interested in lunch, we suggest Off the Vine Tuscan Grille (there is no formal AONE reservation) on Route 1 in Rowley, just ¼ mile south of the intersection of Routes 1 and 133. For the shop event, be sure to sign up with Tom ( or 978-921-0125) by Wednesday night before the event at the latest. Please do NOT call Glynn Motorsports for event information; you can direct questions and suggestions to Tom. For example, if there is sufficient interest in a particular tech session topic, he will try to make it happen. A parts swap is included. Please abide by the 10am – 2pm time window.Tiny Quadrifoglio

Directions (see button above): Glynn Motorsports is located at 120 Haverhill Street, Rowley, MA 01909. From I-95 take Route 133 East toward Rowley. In three miles, go straight through a traffic light crossing Route 1. Proceed 1.5 mile and turn right at the sign for Glynn Motorsports. Proceed warily (downshift) as you get close, since it’s easy miss.

Routes: If you'd like to take more scenic routes on the way in to Glynn Motorsports, try one of these:

  • Route 133 to GMS (which is on 133)

  • Route 128 to Route 22 north to Route 133 west.

  • Route 1 instead of Route I-95 to Route 133 east.
